Frequently asked questions about our dental practice

1. Does your dentist provide emergency treatment?

Yes, our dentist provides emergency treatment covering areas around Hounslow, Richmond, Twickenham, Isleworth, Whitton, Hampton, Kew, Kingston, Teddington, Sunbury, Ealing and Molesey.

We endeavour to provide same day appointments for patients with dental emergencies.

Central dental offer a next day (sometimes same day) denture repair service.

2. What is your cross infection control policy?

Our practice team protect our patients from cross infection by adhering to health and safety regulations. BDA guidelines are strictly observed at our practice.

3. What are your charges and how can payments be made?

At the first visit following a dental examination and radiographs, we discuss treatment options and dental fees with each patient, and a written estimate is given. This may alter as treatment progresses and any significant changes will be brought to the patient's attention.

Dental patients are required to pay per visit for each session. Payments can be made by cash and all major credit and debit cards.

4. Why should I get a professionally made mouth guard for my child for sports?

A professionally made mouth guard should be worn for all contact sports. These include rugby, football, cricket and hockey. It will protect your child against the risk of broken and damaged teeth and even damage to the jaw. It is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

5. Why do my gums bleed?

Bleeding is due to the inflammation of the gums, which in turn is due to the build up of plaque on the teeth. When the plaque is not removed, in time it will affect the bone under the gums and lead to loosening of the teeth. Regular dental visits will ensure that the deposits are removed and gum health is optimised. All patients are taught how to look after your teeth and gums in the best way.

6. How do I register with your practice?

Just call our dental practice so that we can answer any of your questions and offer you an appointment time to suit you. You are automatically registered when you come for your first visit to us.
